The Seals are a summer swim team that competes in TAAF (Texas Amateur Athletic Federation) swim meets, following TAAF rules and guidelines.

• The 2025 Seals season begins on June 2nd for returning members.

• New swimmers will start on June 3rd.

• Seals practices run Monday through Thursday at the Hood County YMCA (James Road) from early June through the end of July.

• Registration typically opens on April 1st.

Pups Swim Lessons

The Pups program is for younger swimmers who are not yet ready for the competitive Seals team.

• Location: Comanche Cove Pool

• Practice Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays only

• Session 1: June 3 – June 26, 2025

• Session 2: July 1 – July 24, 2025

Fall swimming at the YMCA will begin sometime in September 2025. To sign up for the fall session, please contact the YMCA at 817-573-7159.
