How do I sign my athlete up for a tryout?

Clicking on the "register for tryout tab" will link you to our Active site, where you will schedule a tryout with the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center and one of our coaches will meet you at 3pm to initiate a 10 minute tryout.

Who is eligible for Swim Team programs?

We have programs for all ages. Our Pre-competitive team (Rose Buds) is open for individuals 6-17 years of age that are capable of swimming freestyle and backstroke, and who have been introduced to butterfly and breaststroke (but they do not have to know how to do the strokes well). Our Competitive Team is open for swimmers 6 years of age and older, who are able to swim all four competitive strokes legally and meet the criteria outlined in the Group Description Tab.

How much does it cost to join the Swim Team?

Fees will be determined by the try-out and team placement, but will have the following general costs: 

Competitive Team : 

• Monthly Membership Fee to RBAC 

• Semi-Annual Family Commitment to Booster Club 

• Annual Registration to USA Swimming. 

Any additional cost is based on the swimmer's schedules, and number of meets the swimmer participates in. 

Pre-Competitive Team (Rose Buds): 

• Monthly Membership Fee to RBAC

• TeamUnify and USAS Annual Fee 

Swim Team Fees

All registration fees and season rate must be paid in full before a swimmer enters the water. Payments are made via Teamunify.com/Rose. Payment options are available upon request.

Registration for Team Unify: $50 team fee paid annually
USA Swimming Registration: Flex USA Membership 12 & Under $30 fee paid annually, Premium Membership Age 6+ $80 fee paid annually
