The 2012-2014 Banquet Video is now online. Although a great turn out, we hope to have a better one next year. We will continue the new tradition of doing our banquet at the end of short coursre season so look for it to be held late march/early April in 2015. The Southern California Swimming Club Championships took place last weekend at East LA College hosted by the Rose Bowl Aquatic Club. To qualify you had to have one of the top 32 fastest times in your age group over the last year compared to other Southern California Swimmers. 7 Piranhas qualified for the meet that was overall a great success for the Piranha Swimmers. Kat Wickham (Palm Springs High School) lead the Piranha Swim Team with 3 Gold medals. She swept the distance races by earning Gold Medals in the...

Piranha Members, Over the last 13 months total membership of the Piranhas has gone up each month and we've now doubled in size. When Alicia and I arrived our plan was to improve the overall quality and constancy of the program before focusing on growth. Our staff from top to bottom is outstanding and followed through with that plan very well. As quality and consistency improved, so has the number of members. We have you to thank for that. We haven't done much in terms of advertising and recruiting. Piranha...

UPDATE: Congratulation to Liam, Tonalli, Noah, and Brody for setting a new 8 and under 100 freestyle relay record, breaking the previous best that was almost 40 years old. The Piranha Swim Team hosted the Eastern Committee Red Max Festival this past weekend in Palm Springs. The meet is new to the Committee schedule and was intended to give Red Swimmers a season ending meet that had greater importance. Things like standard Top 16 awarding/scoring, championship medals, and team scoring were in the format unlike our other Red/White meets. We...
