Joining the Vermillion Area Swim Team
VAST is open to children ages 5+ who possess the ability to swim one lap in the pool.
New swimmers are welcome to try practice for two weeks without any obligations. You must contact Coach Lind prior to attending practice. He will provide you with the necessary information and forms. [email protected]
Swimmers are placed into groups by the coaching staff based on the swimmer’s ability.
White (Beginner) - A developmental program for new swimmers. This program is designed to develop both swim techniques and endurance. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 meters nonstop.
Red (Intermediate) - Developed swimmers working on basic technique, endurance, speed and technical skills.
Black (Advanced) - Advanced swimmers practice for longer periods amd may include dry-land warm-up.
Masters (Adults 18+) - This program will provide organized workouts and skill improvement for all abilities. Participants should have an understanding of the basic strokes & be able to swim approximately 45 minutes.
You must have an active USA Swimming Registration for insurance purposes. USA Swimming will not allow you to enter the water until your fees have been paid. Therefore, your USA Swimming Registration fees must be current prior to attending practice.
When Registering Online - The only payment option shows to be pay by check. This is a discrepancy between TeamUnify & logistics with our banking. We will not be accepting checks so please sign up for ACH which directly withdrawals from your account around the 5th of each month.
It's simple to enable our electronic payment processing system. Simply visit our team website at www.teamunify.com/sdvast and click on the Sign In button to sign into your private, secure account. If you do not have a user name and password, please request one by emailing [email protected].
Once logged in:
- Click on My Account
- Then Setup Auto Pay
- Click the Add New button
- Enter your information and click Save
- You are now ready to pay electronically!
Privately, in your account, in the $My Invoice/Payment section under My Account, you can review what you currently owe, what will be charged to your method of payment on file, and past billing histories.
