The Dothan Dolphins are a year round competitive swim team. We draw swimmers from Houston, Dale, Geneva, Henry, and Coffee counties. The team is provided by Dothan Leisure Services with support from the Dothan Dolphins Booster Club. The team hosts three home meets annually and attends over 20 additional meets throughout the year in the surrounding areas.
The Dolphins send qualifying swimmers to the Southeastern Championship meets in February and July, and Alabama Recreation and Parks Association State meet in July.
We are comprised of swimmers aged 6 -18 years of age with all abilities. In order to become a Dothan Dolphin, the swimmer must be able to competently swim two lengths of the 25 yard pool at Westgate Recreational Center using the freestyle stroke and 15 yards using the backstroke. Coaches will evaluate the swimmers trying out for the team using a combination of factors including technique and stamina.
