HSA recently sent 5 athletes to the USAS Winter Junior National Championships in Indianapolis, IN.  Abby Chan paced the team with four top 16 swim, including a podium finish in the 50 freestyle.  She ended the meet 3rd in the 50 free, 4th in the 100 butterfly, 5th in the 100 backstroke, and 13th in the 100 freestyle.  Her times in the 50 free and 100 butterly were both HSA team records, breaking Rebekah Hamilton's record from 2020 in the 50 free and her own record from earlier this year in the 100 butterfly.  Chan's time in the 100 fly ranks 32nd all-time for 15-16 women for USA Swimming, while her 50 free is 33rd and her 100 back is 58th.

Joining her in second swims was Christian Wester, who finished 20th in the 200 backstroke.  Christian was part of a men's contingent at the meet that also included Parker Barnett, Wesley Johnson, and Max Baumgartner.  The four men competed in four relays as well, finishing in the top 30 in each.
