SLST Volunteer Policy Highlights

Annual Requirement

  • Each SLST family is required to complete 10 hours of volunteer service per calendar year (January 1 – December 31).

  • If a family joins after January 1 or leaves before December 31, hours will be prorated at 50 minutes per month of participation.

 

Tracking & Opportunities

  • Check the Events tab (after logging into your account) regularly for available volunteer opportunities.

  • There is no rollover of hours to future years and no transfer of hours between families.

 

Unfulfilled Hours

  • Any uncompleted hours will be billed at $25/hour, either at the end of the year or upon leaving the team.

  • Payment must be made promptly to avoid disruption of participation.

 

Non-Compliance Consequences

  • 1st Violation: Suspension of parent membership and swimmer's participation until hours are fulfilled or balance is paid.

  • 2nd Violation: Termination from the swim team.

 

Parish & SLEM Families

  • Up to 3 hours of service at St. Lawrence Elementary/Middle School or the St. Lawrence Parish may count toward SLST volunteer hours.

  • It is the family’s responsibility to email these hours to the Swim Team Manager before December 31.

  • Late submissions (after Dec. 31) will not be accepted.
