Darren Mew
Head Coach Darren Mew, two-time Olympic finalist and former world number two, has held Commonwealth, British and English records, including the fourth fastest 100m breaststroke time in history. 
 
Darren has called Grand Cayman home since 2011 and enjoys working with children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.  His common-sense approach to coaching keeps things light and fun and creates the perfect environment in which to turn good swimmers into great athletes. 
 

 

Assistant Coach
Danielle (Danie) Jefferies 
As a swim coach with over ten years of experience, Coach Danie has had the privilege of working with swimmers of all levels, from beginners in learn-to-swim programs to varsity athletes. Her own background as a competitive swimmer, including college swimming and an NCAA appearance, has fueled her passion for the sport and shaped her coaching philosophy.
 
Growing up in Hawaii, she developed a deep connection to the water, which drives her to help every swimmer feel confident and comfortable in the pool. Her goal as a coach is to create a positive and enjoyable environment that encourages personal growth, builds strong technique, and fosters a love for swimming.

Jane Logan 
Coach Jane has been involved in swimming her whole life, competing in club swimming, open water and triathlons. With over 25 years of experience teaching, her passion is helping people start out on their swimming journeys and helping them on their way to fulfilling their potential. 
 
She has lived in Grand Cayman since 2015 with her husband, dog and cat.
