Sellars registers a Sea Swim hattrick
The 2022 edition of the CUC, Flow and Butterfield 800 metre Sea Swims have all ended with the same winner.
Will Sellars of Seven Mile Swimmers, secured his third sea swim victory during the Butterfield 800m event on Saturday (May 28) held along Governor’s Beach.
“I think open water [racing] in Cayman is developing very nicely,” Sellars said. “And there’s a lot of good people here that can go on to do big things in open water, I think. It’s just great to have good competition to race against and it’s always fun to come down.”
148 registered swimmers hit the water on Saturday. It was the most since 172 people registered in 2010.
