Tim McCormick
Head Coach/CEO
Born and raised in Galt, CA, Kim graduated from Galt High School in 2011 and earned her BA in Communication Studies at Azusa Pacific University in 2015. Kim first began competitively swimming at the age of 8. Since then, her love for the sport has continued to grow between all the different teams she has been a part of - be it swimming or coaching. From rec, to high school, to club, to college and masters, she's done it all. Kim's coaching career began in 2013 with Liberty Ranch High School and her home team, the Galt Gators. In this year, Kim brought one of Liberty Ranch's largest number of qualifiers to Sections and helped the Gators win their first Championship title in 10 years.
Since then, she has coached Men's and Women's Swimming at Oak Ridge High School, age group swimmers at Elk Grove Aquatics Club, and Masters Swimming at Life Time Fitness in Folsom. One of the proudest moments of her coaching career was helping the Trojan Men's Team take home a Section title and second place at State Championships.
If she's not out on the pool deck coaching, she's probably finding every way possible to get in the water and compete herself. She hopes that through coaching, she can help other swimmers shine on and off the pool deck, through hard work, their desire to learn, and of course, lots of fun.
Travis Folsom was born in Los Gatos, California and raised here in Folsom where he began swimming at the age of 6 with the Folsom Sea Otters. His swimming ventures continued for the next 12 years, at one point even swimming for the Marlins. He ran track and pole vaulted at Chico State, where he graduated with a B.A. in Kinesiology and a minor in Coaching & Administration. He missed swimming so much, he later returned to swim for his local Junior College, ARC. Shortly after, he continued his education and earned an M.A. in Teaching at Point Loma Nazarene University in the great city of San Diego.
Travis started coaching in 2011 with the Folsom Sea Otters and served as head coach for three years. Additionally, he coached the Sierra Marlin clinics, Casa Roble High, and water polo at Whitney High. Travis is entering his 6th year with the Marlins, and is just as eager as ever to coach, mentor, and influence athletes. His philosophy goes beyond teaching skills solely in the pool, and includes developing athletes both in and out of the water.
