Example Monthly Invoices (not including Rec. Center Membership billed/paid separately to Rec. Center)
EXAMPLE 1: Family with 1 Kraken Kid 45 minute group swimmer would receive a monthly bill from Coach John via QuickBooks each month for $113 ($108 for coaching + $5 fundraising) and would need to have a $22 Rec. Center membership paid separately to the Rec. Center.
EXAMPLE 2: Family with 1 Junior I group swimmer, and 1 Kraken Kid 45 minute group swimmer would receive a monthly bill totaling $234.00 from Coach John via QuickBooks each month ($119 + $108 for coaching + $7.50 fundraising) and both swimmers would need to have a $22 Rec. Center membership paid separately to the Rec. Center.
EXAMPLE 3: Family with 1 Senior group swimmer, 1 Junior group swimmer and 1 Blue group swimmer would receive a monthly bill totaling $328.00 from Coach John via QuickBooks each month [$145 + $119 + $108 - $54 (3rd swimmer discount) for coaching + $10 fundraising].
REC. CENTER MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
All swimmers MUST be members of the Community Recreation Center (CRC). Membership is $22 per month for the first youth member in a family, $22/month for the next family member, and $5/month per person after that. All members must have a membership card and swimmers must scan their cards to enter the CRC. This membership includes all CRC membership privileges. (PVST does not process CRC memberships—this is set up directly with the CRC.)
Annual USA Swimming Insurance Requirements
USA Swimming FLEX Registration fee of $40/year will be offered for swimmers 12 years and younger and only allows them 2 swim meets and excludes Championship meets. Premium membership is required for all other swimmers and cost is $80.00/year and includes unlimited number of meets and Championship meets.
All new families will set up a USA Swimming account and register their swimmers for a USA Swimming Membership. All returning families will need to renew USA Swimming Memberships prior to their expiration date. This includes swimmers, officials, coaches and non-athlete members. After you register for Portneuf Valley Swim Team you will be sent a link to register or renew your USA Swimming membership. Registration for USA Swimming will start September 1st! Please do not register or renew your membership(s) prior to that date.
SWIM MEETS
Swim Meets are NOT REQUIRED but will be encouraged. There is an additional charge for swim meets. The fees are set by the swim team hosting the meet but will typically cost ~$30-$40 per day per swimmer based on the number of events for which he/she is registered. Away meets are optional. There will be a $18.00/day Swimmer surcharge for local meets in (Pocatello & Idaho Falls), and $36/day Swimmer surcharge for travel meets (Boise, Twin Falls, Utah, Montana) to cover actual costs incurred for Coach travel expenses and will be added to your invoice. This helps pay for the coaches we send to the meets. Please note that once the registration deadline has passed there are NO REFUNDS of entry fees and coaching fees. If you need to back out of a swim meet please do so before the registration deadline.
FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS
All FAMILIES are required to pay into fundraising. Fundraising pays for team equipment, maintenance, scholarships, and at times some team apparel. Monthly payment of $2.50 to $10 a month PER FAMILY (depending on practice group) included on monthly coaching invoice. Second and subsequent swimmer(s) in each family WILL NOT be charged. If a family participates in any team fundraising efforts those proceeds may be able to be applied as a credit to monthly fundraising fees.
$2.50 a month for Kraken Kids 30 minute group and Junior II
$5.00 a month for Kraken Kids, Blue and Gray Groups
$7.50 a month for Junior I Group
$10.00 a month for Senior and National Groups
MONTHLY BILLING/INVOICES:
PVST utilizes QuickBooks for invoicing and payments.
Please do not enter credit /debit card info when registering your swimmer on Team Unify, as we do not use them for billing.
Around the 5th of the month, you will receive an invoice from QuickBooks with a link that you can pay online with debit card, credit card or bank draft. There is no obligation to swim every month, you decide when it fits into your schedule. Please notify [email protected] if you don’t plan on swimming in the upcoming month so you don’t get invoiced.
