WAVE OFFICIALS INCENTIVE
USA Swimming officials, including apprentices, may claim $25 per qualifying session officiated.*
*Must be in good standing and affiliated to Wave. Qualifying sessions are for meets Wave attends as a team. Credit may
only be applied to swimmer meet fees for a future qualifying meet. Claim is limited to two sessions per month and must be
made within two weeks of the meet end.
HOW TO BECOME AN OFFICIAL
Register with South Texas Swimming AND USA Swimming:

Establish your USA-S website login and associate your login with your USA-S ID: Once logged in, click on the “My Account” link in the upper right side and step through the process.

Complete a Level 2 Background Check, Concussion Protocol Training, and the Athlete Protection Training course

Attend an officials clinic (stroke and turn training)

Complete on-deck shadowing sessions: 10 sessions over 3 meets
