Athlete Nominations Needed For Southern Zone Athlete Summit

South Carolina Swimming is looking for athletes to attend the Southern Zone Athlete Summit in Lousiville, KY, June 21st-23rd. In addition to sending our new Senior and Junior Athlete Representatives, South Carolina Swimming is looking for four additional athletes to attend. If you know of a high school age athlete who would best represent South Carolina Swimming's athlete community, please fill out the nomination form found here.

The Southern Zone Athlete Summit will include the following topics for presentation:​

  • Leadershiip and Governance Involvement
  • Communication and Drafting Professional E-Mails
  • Time Management
  • College Recruiting and University Training
  • Safe Sport topics of Bullying and Social Media
  • Mental Health
  • Nutrition and Sleep Habits
  • In-Water Pool Training
  • Morning Yoga
  • Two Nights of Olympic Trials Finals Viewing Parties

Nominations for the Athlete Summit will be considered until Friday, March 15th. Thanks to the generosity of the Southern Zone, this event will be offered free of charge to attending athletes.
