Attention, 13 & Overs swimming the 1000 Free at Junior Olympics on Thursday, February 10, 2011! The meet start time has been changed to 3:00pm.  The Belmont Plaza pool in Long Beach will open for warm-up at 1:30pm.  This change affects the Thursday evening session, only. 32 of TSM's finest began their quest for SoCal Swimming Winter Age Group Championships today in Las Vegas, Nevada.  20 of the team's 25 preliminary races resulted in personal best times as many new JO standards and one new Sectional standard were achieved. Team Santa Monica ushered in the championship meet season on Thursday with strong performances by Eugene Tee in the 500 Free and 200 IM at the Junior National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia.  Eugene raced to a personal best time of 4:35.27 in the 500, finishing 61st overall.  In the IM, his time of 1:56.25 was good enough for 107th place.
