Congratulations to Team Santa Monica's very own MAX HALSON who traveled back to Australia this week for Australian Open Water Nationals.  The event was both the Olympic Trials and Junior National Championships for Australia. Max finished the 10 kilometer event (the Olympic distance) in 2hours 2minutes to earn his first Bronze of the weekend. The next day, Max backed up with a solid 3rd against a field of 44 of Australia's best to finish the 5k in 58 minutes.   This makes 5 National Medals for Max in the last 3 years. Max...

Team Santa Monica shook up the Southern California Swimming landscape with a 6th place (39 total teams) finish at Southern California Swimming's 2011 Spring Junior Olympics! The Men's team had their best finish in recent memory, securing 2nd place (32 total teams) with some outstanding efforts in the meet's final race, the 400 Free Relay.  Congratulations, gents!
