Developmental Groups (6-14 year olds)
  • YELLOW (6-10 Year Olds)
    • Basic knowledge of Freestyle and Backstroke, not yet legal in Butterfly or Breaststroke
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins
    • Practice Attendance: 50% 
    • Meet attendance: Encouraged once confidence is built on racing start, stroke proficiency

 

  • BLUE (8-11 Year Olds)
    • Basic Knowledge of all four strokes
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins
    • Practice Attendance: 75% 
    • Meet Attendance: Strongly encouraged, mandatory for advancement

 

  • NAVY (12-14 Year Olds in MS)
    • Legal in all four strokes
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins, buoy, snorkel
    • Practice Attendance: 75%
    • Meet Participation: Encouraged, minimum of one per season
Age Groups (6-14 year olds)
  • BRONZE (8-11 Year Olds)
    • Legal in all four strokes
    • TIME STANDARDS: Must have at least 3 B times, one of which is 100 IM or 100 stroke
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins, buoy
    • Practice Attendance: 75% 
    • Meet Attendance: Strongly encouraged, mandatory for advancement
 
  • SILVER (8-12 Year Olds)
    • TIME STANDARDS: Must have at least 4 BB+ times, at least one in 100IM or 100 stroke
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins, buoy, snorkel, paddles
    • Practice Attendance: 80%
    • Meet Participation: Mandatory
 
  • GOLD (12-14 Year Olds)
    • TIME STANDARDS: Must have at least 4 BB+ times, one in the 200IM and one in a 200 of a stroke
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins, buoy, snorkel, paddles
    • Practice Attendance: 80%
    • Meet Participation: Mandatory
Senior Groups (14 & over, in HS)
  • SENIOR 3 (14 & Over in HS)
    • Legal in all four strokes
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins, buoy, paddles
    • Practice Attendance: 75%
    • Meet Participation: Strongly encouraged, mandatory for advancement
 
  • SENIOR 2 (14 & Over in HS)
    • TIME STANDARDS: Must have at least 4 B+ times, at least one in 200 IM & a 200 of a stroke
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins, buoy, snorkel, paddles
    • Practice Attendance: 85%
    • Meet Participation: Strongly Encouraged
 
  • SENIOR 1 (14 & Over in HS)
    • TIME STANDARDS: Must have at least 4 A+ times
    • Must have a A+ Time in 200 IM or 200 stroke
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins, buoy, snorkel, paddles
    • Practice Attendance: 85%
    • Meet Participation: Mandatory
 
  • NATIONAL (14 & Over in HS)
    • TIME STANDARDS: Must have at least 4 Sectional Cuts, must have one in 200 IM & 200 of a stroke
    • Equipment needed: goggles, kickboards, fins, buoy, snorkel, paddles
    • Practice Attendance: 95-100%
    • Meet Participation: Mandatory
