SHORT COURSE SEASON REPORT

1.  NUMBERS

Gold’s aquatic club Camas started in September with 68 swimmers and we finished our season with 90 swimmers. That is an increase of 22 swimmers in six months witch also calculate to a 24% of increase swim team members.

A.  Goals
i.  Increase the size of the team to 120 swimmers.
ii.  Grow  in numbers the Age group  Intro. By having  a strong conversion rate from the  pre- Comp. Group.
2.  MEETS

Our team participated in 14 meets in this season with an average of 30 swimmers per meet. The improvement rate average for the season was 74.5% . This is a great improvement rate considering that anything over 50% is considered a good number.

A.  State  Championships: 
i.  10 and under A total of 6 swimmers swam with the best 10 and under for  Oregon swimming and did a great job competing and  learning.
Congratulations to all 6 swimmers:  Sam LeGrand,  Luna McMahon, Caroline Oates,  Kai  Raimo , Andrew Zhang,  Brian Zhang.
ii.  11-14 Sate:  A total of  12 swimmers swam at this championships , the team placed 11 th  overall with a great jump from  a 17 th  place  last year . Congratulations to all 12 of the swimmers:  Hudson  Barros Henry Butler, Owen Jacobs,  Ryker Jun, Faith  Knoe ppel , Frederick  Koty nek Aarnav Kri shna, Ethan LeGrand,  Owen Yam, Eric Zhang, Katherine Zhang,  Winston Zhang.
iii.  Senior  Championships:  A total of 6 swimmers swam at this meet . This the Age group that have the most room for improvement and with the  swimmers that are aging up we are going to have a stronger Senior s tate next year, congratulations to the 6 swimmers:  Tenzin   Kelsang Ata li’I   Seumalo , Eric  Zhan , Katherine Zhang, Winston Zhang
B.  North West  Region Age Group Championships
i.  A total of 4 swimmers represented the Team . This was the first time that our swimmers competed at the reg ionals level and the first time swimming at the great pool in federal way, our swimmers did a great job stepping up and racing  against the best of the North West,  Kathewas  one of the best scorers in her age group with 44 total points and Ethan scored 4 point for the boys. Congratulations to all 4 swimmers Ethan LeGrand, Owen Yam, Katherine Zhang, Winston Zhang. 
 
 
3.  RECORDS
i.  Team Records An impressive amount of  65  team records where broken  this season,  Katherine Zhang  broke and lowered 40  yards   girls 9-10 records , 2  Short course meters records  and 18  records for 11-12 years old  for a grand total of 60 team records . Winston broke the boys 11-12  yards records for the 100 breaststroke, 200  breaststroke and 100 I.M.  he lowered several times for a total of 5 records.
ii.  Sate Records:  Katherine Zhang broke 4 OSI records  and lowered them several times for a total of 7 State Records
