Swim-a-Thon Results are IN!

Rachel Waldron

Wow. We knew you were all tenacious but weren’t expecting that display of talent and passion on Saturday! This email is NOT to ask you to set more swimming goals or to ask you to keep fundraising. This email is to give a heartfelt congratulations to our swim-a-thon swimmers and to all of those who contributed so…THANK YOU!

Every swimmer earned a gift card for their efforts and I’ll be following up with you this week to find out where you’d like that applied. We’ll get those to you ASAP.

Here are some fun facts from Saturday:

As a team, we earned $3,394.00!

In total, the team swam 1,688 (yes, that’s one-thousand six-hundred eighty-eight!) lengths of our pool. That’s 23.98 MILES! That’s from our pool to Tiger Mountain beyond Issaquah. It’s the equivalent of swimming from Vashon up Puget Sound past Edmonds. Amazing!

It’s important to note that those are TEAM stats. While there was certainly a huge amount of individual effort on display on Saturday, it’s a great reminder that we’re strongest and accomplish our greatest achievements as the Seals team. We’re proud to be Seals because of your hard work and passion and, again, we’re so grateful for all your efforts and support!

Go Seals!
