August Notes & Important Dates

August 9: Last day of Summer session

August 10: Seals BBQ! Save the date! The BBQ is so much fun and a chance for all swimmers to be recognized by the coaches and fellow team members and for swim families to gather and have fun. 5:15 PM - 7:30 PM. Bring a dish to share!

August 13: Movie fundraiser at the Vashon Theatre! Join us at 6 pm for “Song of the Sea” with your fellow Seals. Bring your friends and family! This is a fundraiser, so donations are appreciated.

Message From Our President

What a fabulous summer it has been for our Seals! We kicked things off with our successful car wash, where we raised an impressive $969—thank you, Vashon, for all the dirty cars! We also had a blast at the Strawberry Festival, and we have some exciting events coming up this month.

Mark your calendars for our Seals movie night and our annual barbecue! It’s a great opportunity to relax, have fun, and connect with fellow Seals families.

Thank you for being a part of our Seals family and making this summer unforgettable. We appreciate all your support and can’t wait to see you at our upcoming events!

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION

Thank you to all of our families for their amazing volunteering efforts. We’d like to give an extra shout out to a few families who really put an extra effort in during 2024:

The Choos and The Davises

These families are extraordinarily busy with multiple additional activities and always make time for the Seals. We couldn’t be more grateful and wish our last Choo graduate a bittersweet farewell (for now) as he heads off to college!

We'd also like to send a special thanks to the Folkestads who showed up for Strawberry Festival despite a barn fire!!
