| Welcome to the 2024-2025 Swim Year, Vashon Seals Families! We are thrilled to welcome you to another exciting swim season! A special shoutout to our new swimmers and their families—it's fantastic to have you join our Vashon Seals community. We look forward to a year full of growth, achievement, and, most importantly, fun in the pool! As you may have noticed during registration, we’ve updated our volunteer hour requirements. Each family is asked to contribute 15 hours of volunteer time per year, from September to August. This year, you have the option to meet this requirement by volunteering or by paying $20 per hour or a flat fee of $300, charged at the end of August. Why Fundraising? Our fundraising efforts are crucial for maintaining and improving our swim program. The funds raised go towards:
- Equipment: Ensuring our swimmers have access to the best gear and technology.
- Recruitment: Attracting new swimmers and expanding our team.
- T-Shirts: Providing team apparel that fosters unity and spirit.
- Scholarships: Building a fund to support swimmers who may have difficulty meeting the fee requirements - hopefully this swim year!
- Team Events: Organizing fun and engaging events that build camaraderie.
By keeping our fees as low as possible, we rely on fundraisers to support these essential aspects of our program. Your involvement in fundraising not only helps keep costs down but also enriches the experience for all our swimmers. Volunteers are the backbone of our team, making everything from meets to fundraisers possible. To ensure the continued success of our program and to support our dedicated volunteers, we’re encouraging all families to actively participate in our events and initiatives.
