Gators Swim Strong At December Conference Meet

On Friday, December 12th, 2025 the Green County Family YMCA Gators swim team attended the December Conference meet hosted by the Lake Geneva Ducks. The meet was a mixed open meet allowing swimmers of any age and gender to compete in any of the 20 events. Gators had strong swims from all 13 swimmers in the attendance earning a combined score of 287 points. 

Point earners for the Gators included Barrett Berg (14) who earned 60 points and took first place in the Mixed 50 Breast (33.60Y), the Mixed 50 Free (24.15Y) and the Mixed 500 Free (5:20.65Y).  Lauren Kosmosky (12) earned 48 points and took third in the Mixed 100 Free (1:06.50Y), the Mixed 50 Free (30.03Y) and the Mixed 50 Fly (35.22Y). Stella Rolli (12) earned 28 points with fourth place in the Mixed 200 Free (2:36.25Y) and sixth place in the Mixed 100 IM (1:28.79Y). Kinsely Huffman (10) earned 26 points with sixth place in the Mixed 200 Free (2:45.74Y), tenth place in the Mixed 100 Free (1:16.38Y) and eleventh in the Mixed 50 Fly (48.35Y). Mila Daniels (7) earned 26 points with second place in the Mixed 25 Breast (30.30Y) and ninth in the Mixed 25 Back. Olive Akins (10) earned 20 points with third place in the Mixed 50 Breast (47.14Y) and thirteenth in the Mixed 50 Fly (54.19Y). Olivia Hustad (10) earned 19 points with fourth place in the Mixed 100 Back (1:27.03Y),  seventh place in the Mixed 50 Back (38.86Y) and tenth place in the Mixed 100 IM (1:35.08Y). Finnley Daniels (10) earned 18 points with seventh place in the Mixed 50 Fly (45.04Y) and eleventh place in the Mixed 50 Free (36.14Y). Scarlett Hammon (10) earned 17 points with a sixth place finish in the Mixed 100 Breast (1:44.23Y) and thirteenth in the Mixed 50 Back (42.92Y). Mira Gasaway (5) earned 16 points with her third place finish in the Mixed 25 Breast (35.07Y). Harlan Gasaway (8) earned 9 points with his ninth place finish in the Mixed 25 Free (21.82Y). 

Swimmers with state qualifying times included Mila Daniels (7) in the 25 Yard Back and 25 Yard Breast. Harlan Gasaway (8) in the 25 Yard Free. Olivia Hustad (10) in the 50 Yard Back and Barrett Berg (13)  in the 50 Yard Free and the 500 Yard Free. Barrett also broke his previous  team record in the 500 Yard Free of 5:26.88 swimming a new time of 5:20.65Y. 

The Green County Family YMCA Gators will travel to Onalaska for a closed YMCA Frostbite Invitational meet on January 3rd and 4th, hosted by the LaCrosse Wave Swim Team.
