What Your Swimmer Needs for a Successful Swim Season
Team Cap: The only gear requirement is a GCY Gator swim team cap to be worn while competing. You may order these with the link below if you did not already do so when registering. If a swimmer is sensitive to the team cap we suggest a lycra material cap to be worn during practices to help keep hair back, out of the swimmer's face.
Team Suit: Team suits with our gators name can be purchased on our Swimoutlet Team Store. If purchasing another suit it should be a competition and training suit in black or green for meets.
Goggles: You will need to supply goggles for your swimmer.
Fins: The Green County YMCA has fins for use. These fins are first come, first serve. If purchasing fins for your swimmer we recommend the short to medium length fins. SEE OUR FAQ page for correct fin types.
Kickboards, Pull Buoys and Paddles: The Green County YMCA has these items for use by swim team members.
Swim Snorkel and Parachute: Older swimmers in Pods, Capybaras, Legends and Predators can purchased but are not required.

You can purchase swimming and training gear from our team store at Swimoutlet.com. When you are logged in and it shows "Supporting GCY Gators" at the top of your screen, a portion of your purchases comes back to support our Gators team. Funds from this store help purchase things like fins, meet awards and items towards our team events. While we have a section of recommended items, every item purchased on Swimoutlet.com will support our team as long as it shows you are "Supporting GCY Gators".
Gator Swim Caps
Our GCY Gator team swim caps are ordered at the start for each season. Caps are to be worn during meets and competitions. Caps are black with green GCY Gators team logo on them. These may also be personalized with the swimmer's name. If personalizing caps, there is a minimum order of 2 caps. Payments can be made at the front desk and must be paid before receiving caps.
