What Your Swimmer Needs for a Successful Swim Season

Team Cap: The only gear requirement is a GCY Gator swim team cap to be worn while competing. You may order these with the link below if you did not already do so when registering.  If a swimmer is sensitive to the team cap we suggest a lycra material cap to be worn during practices to help keep hair back, out of the swimmer's face. 

Team Suit: We do not require a team suite but recommend a competition and training suit in black or green for meets.

Goggles: You will need to supply goggles for your swimmer.

Fins: The Green County YMCA has fins for use. These fins are first come, first serve. If purchasing fins for your swimmer we recommend the short to medium length fins.

Kickboards, Pull Buoys and Paddles: The Green County YMCA has these items for use by swim team members.

Gator Swim Caps

Our GCY Gator team swim caps are ordered at the start for each season. Caps are to be worn during meets and competitions. Caps are black with green GCY Gators team logo on them. These may also be personalized with the swimmer's name. If personalizing caps, there is a minimum order of 2 caps.
