Day 2 Report from YMCA Nationals

Another great day for the OSHY crew

The day started off with Emma and Samara swimming the 200 back. Emma dropped over 2 seconds and Samara dropped over a second, both going 2:04 for the first time, placing 27th and 25th respectively.

Next, Addy, Elise, and Sebastian swam the 100 fly. Addy went 56.6, a best time, qualifying for finals in 21st place. Elise went a 59.0 placing 78th, and Sebastian went 49.3, a best time and team record, qualifying for finals in 12th place.

Tanner and Drew finished the morning session with the 200 breast. Tanner had a huge drop, going 2:07, besting his entry time by over 4 seconds. Drew improved on his best time, going a team record of 2:01, qualifying for finals in 4th place.

At finals tonight, Addy dropped a little more time, placing 21st. Sebastian and Drew, were both a little off their morning times with Sebastian placing 15th and Drew placing 8th.

Tomorrow’s events are 100 back (Emma, Samara, Drew), 400 IM (Addy, Ethan), 200 free (Etta, Elise, Kiersten, Sebastian) and the 200 free relay for both the girls and boys.
