The Pulaski Area Swim Club Sharks offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Pulaski Area Swim Club Sharks to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.
Blue Group- (M,WF,)
This group is for new swimmers. New swimmers must complete a swim evaluation to see if they are ready to join. Practice is safe, fun and has a purpose. It is not open pool time. Swimmers must be able to and want to, swim one length of the pool without stopping and be part of group instruction. We focus on foundational skills and stroke techniques they will use their whole life as swimmers. Together as teammates we have fun and swim fast too!

Practices: 3 times per week for 45 minutes
White Group:
This group is for swimmers who moved up from Blue, or who have prior swim experience and have passed a swim evaluation. Most White group swimmers must be able to swim 2 lengths of the pool (50 yards) without stopping. We build on the foundational skills introduced on Minis and add stroke-specific drills and beginning set work. *with a swim eval Practices: 3 times per week, generally Monday/Wednesday/Friday. This group is for the more experienced swimmers. Must be able to swim 100 yards FR without stopping and be familiar with the 4 competitive swimming strokes. Emphasis will be placed on more advanced training techniques, skill development, and improvements. Stroke-specific drills will be used and more advanced set work will be taught.

Practices: 3 times per week, for 1:15 minutes
Competitive Groups: (Will be based off of skill set and coaches recommendation .)
*Will be expected to compete in meets, depending on the length of the session.
BRONZE GROUP:
This group is for the more experienced than blue swimmers and competes . Must be able to swim 100 yards without stopping and be familiar with the 4 competitive swimming strokes. Emphasis will be placed on more advanced training techniques, skill development, and improvements. Stroke-specific drills will be used and more advanced set work will be taught.

Practices: 3 times per week, generally Monday, Wednesday, Friday (1 hour per day)
SILVER GROUP:
This group is for the more experienced than Bronze and competes . Must be able to swim 100 yards without stopping and be familiar with the 4 competitive strokes. Emphasis will be placed on advanced stroke techniques, skill development, and improvements. Racing strategies, stroke-specific drills, and more advanced training strategies will be taught.

Practices: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday for up to :90 minutes a day
RED GROUP:
This group is for swimmers who are competitive seasoned swimmers transitioning from Silver team or for high school swimmers new to club swimming. Red Group members must be able to swim 200 yards without stopping and will work towards completing a legal 400 IM. Emphasis will be placed on stroke technique, stroke-specific drills, skill development, and fitness improvement. Training and racing strategies will be taught for distance, IM, and sprint swimming.

RED ELITE GROUP:
This group is for experienced swimmers with State qualifying times in the Senior age group or for Swimmers in this group training for State, Zone, and National level competitions. Emphasis will be placed on advanced stroke techniques, stroke-specific drills, skill development, and fitness improvement. Advanced training and racing strategies will be taught for distance swimming, IM swimming, and sprint swimming. Regular practice and meet attendance are expected.
