COACHES CORNER

The season for our non-state swimmers concluded on Monday, and coaches can say without a doubt that this was an extremely successful season! We were so excited to be able to watch Olympic Trials during practices, work with swimmers in a smaller group setting, and to celebrate their growth. Thank you to the parents for allowing us to coach your children!

 

STATE SWIMMER PRACTICE

  • 12 and under swimmers will continue to have practice tonight (Wednesday) from 6:00-7:15pm, and Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm
  • 13 and over swimmers will continue practices Wednesday and Thursday 6:00-7:30pm, and Monday through Wednesday next week from 6:00-7:00pm

REGIONALS MEET RECAP

Wave sent a great group of swimmers to the Regionals meet this past weekend. Swimmers of all ages worked extremely hard to have strong races and create some positive memories!

 

Swimmer(s) of the Meet: 

We have a few "Swimmers of the Meet" from this past weekend! Sophia Ward for getting the officials attention to pause the start so that a swimmer from another team could get on the blocks and swim her race! Clara Sydow for walking up and down the pool deck cheering for her teammates during their races! Peter Boldt and Lucy Tygum for ASKING to swim the 200 fly long course for the first time (enough said!) Way to go Wave swimmers!

SWIM CLINICS AVAILABLE AUGUST 5-8th

  • Open to all Wave swimmers ages 12 and under who swam during the 23-24 seasons
  • All clinics take place at the WHS Pool–bring your equipment bag
  • Select clinic(s) by day and focus. 
    • Small groups- 8 swimmers per clinic/$25 per swimmer

  • Payment processed day of class; no refunds for no-shows
  • Current waivers and agreements apply to clinics

 

WAUNAFEST PARADE THIS SUNDAY

Come cheer on the Waunakee Wave as representatives from our team walk in the Waunafest Parade to show our team pride!! The parade begins at 11am on the corner of E. Main St. and S. Division St., travels down Main St. to O’Malley St., travels down O’Malley St. to 6th St., travels down 6th St. to Holiday Dr. and travels down Holiday Dr. to the WaunaFest grounds at Centennial Park. See you there!
