WESTERN ZONE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Western Zone Senior Championships will be held July 29-August 2, 2025 in Clovis, CA. 

Athlete Application:

Please complete the form below with your $300 deposit (the remaining balance due to WYSI will be $650 due by July 9, 2025). Athletes are to book their own air travel to Fresno to arrive on Monday, July 28, 2025 and depart on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

Athletes who have not yet qualified, but hope to qualify at the Summer State Meet, may apply and pay the deposit. The deposit will be returned (minus a $25 processing fee) if the athlete does not qualify (but not if the athlete qualifies and decides not to attend).

The meet announcement will be provided as soon as it is posted.

Coach/Chaperone Application:

This application is due on or before June 30, 2025. By applying for this position, you certify that you are available for the dates required and are committed to attending if selected. Coaching staff and alternates will be selected prior to Summer Championships. Please remember that the number of coaches needed to staff the meet varies depending on our number of participants and will be finalized at Summer  Championships.

There shall be a Selection Committee composed of the General Chair, Vice-Chair, Senior Vice-Chair, Age Group Vice-Chair and Senior Athlete Representative who shall select the coaching staff and chaperones from a pool of applicants. Roy Runnion as Senior Chair will be the Head Coach.

In order to be considered you must register as a non-athlete USA Swimming Member, pass USA Background Check and Athletic Protection Training. WYSI does not pay for the Non-Athlete USA Registration or USA Background Check.

You will be expected to arrive in Clovis, CA on Monday, July 28, 2025 and leave on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
