Coach's Letter April 10th, 2024

Hello Sailfish,

We are running close to the end of our season, upon which practices were scheduled to run until April 26th. Since we had some programming interruptions, including meets and practices that either had to be moved or cancelled, I am happy to announce that we have a meet scheduled for 2:00 PM May 11th, 2024, at the Carver Center in Port Chester. It may be a dual meet format, or even tri-meet(3 teams competing), but the Head Coach in Port Chester and the Referee have already agreed to the date and location, and will get back to us on format. 

As such, we will be extending our practices past the end the season, and into one of our first Clinics, which will cover basic technique and drilling for early swim season. We are looking to start something new here with summer programming and a full training cycle beginning at the start of May. We will not have as many meets this summer, but we will be prepared to race coming fall and winter. Intermittently we are planning to hold two-week clinics-3 total this spring/summer-that should fit in with our development path for our swimmers to shine next year for our championship meets.

Lastly, I hope everyone had fun at the Banquet this weekend; the YMCA staff and I are working together to hold an awards ceremony. We would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that went into this year from our swimmers and parents. Please be on the lookout for an email about a date for when we can best accommadate the coaches and the families.
