Holiday Meet Preview, Practice Schedule, and Upcoming Updates(letter from your Coach)
Dear Parents and Swimmers,
We had a fantastic preview of our big Holiday Meet next weekend (December 13th-15th) with an outstanding showing at the 20th Annual Bronx Diversity Sprint Meet this past Saturday, December 7th, at the Mark Twain Pool in Yonkers. I’m excited to share some great results and updates with you.
Our 10 and under Girls were exceptional, posting numerous season and lifetime bests and competing strongly against other teams. Special congratulations to Summer Garcia, who won three individual events and earned the "High Point" award for Outstanding 10 and Under Female Swimmer. We also had impressive performances from several swimmers, including Peyton Roper’s 4th place finish in the 50 Breast and Angelina Cho’s 3rd place in the same event. The point scorers for our team were:
- Summer Garcia - 60
- Mia Key Senye - 27
- Angelina Cho - 25
- Peyton Roper - 22
- Ashley Cho - 19
- Brian Murphy - 16
- Rodney Morgan Nairne - 14
- Trevor Le - 6
- Henry Villanueva - 5
- Layla Jerez - 4
- Olivia Sanchez - 3
I also wanted to update you on our practice schedule for the upcoming week. Please review the times carefully and be on the pool deck 15 minutes before your session to begin dynamic stretching and some light calisthenics. This is an important part of our preparation, and I want everyone to be ready to go when practice starts.

As we approach the winter break, I will also be reviewing our swimmers for potential changes in practice groups to ensure that each athlete is in a group best suited to their development. Some swimmers may be moved up or down based on their skill set and needs. I want to stress that these moves aren’t about “moving up” but about finding the right fit to maximize progress for each swimmer.
I will be spending some time during the break researching our YMCA NY State Championship Qualifying times, as well as our Metropolitan 'Silver' Championship Qualifying times. I’m looking forward to sharing this information soon, and I know we will continue to improve and qualify for upcoming meets in January and February.
If you are attending the meet next weekend, please be sure to check our Meet Information and I will post the Entry Report shortly to let you know which events your swimmer will be competing in.
Thanks for all your support, and let’s keep the momentum going into the Holiday Meet!
Best regards,
Coach Jace
