Announcements: 
We are pleased to welcome Ray Miller to our Coaching Staff. Ray Miller has extensive experience in coaching and sports administration, currently serving on the Diversity Committee at the United States Olympic Committee since May 2008. Miller held multiple coaching roles, including Head Swim Coach and Head Track Coach at CIS Training Systems LLC from January 2014 to December 2019, and also was the Head Swim Coach at Trident Swim Foundation from September 2015 to June 2019. An Assistant Swim Coach at Westchester Aquatic Club from September 2017 to August 2018, Miller focused on strength and conditioning to enhance swimming performance. Additionally, Miller was a Fellow with the American Swim Coaches Association from 2015 to 2016. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine from Fordham University and training as an Athletic Trainer from SUNY Cortland, complemented by certification from the National Academy for Sports Medicine. 

Ray will be working primarily with the Gold and Senior Groups on the pool deck, but we will also be working with Ray to build out a comprehensive Dryland, Strength and Conditioning Program for our swimmers. 

Our Sailfish Team Handbook is finalized and ready for distribution. It provides guidelines and will help us work together to support our swimmers, the YMCA, and our Team. Furthermore, the Handbook provides guidelines for a formalized organization of parent Committee. This is to encourage an organized voice from representatives to help support the Team through events and fundraisers; opportunities for our members; advocacy for our swimmers and families; and providing input regarding questions surrounding publicity, marketing and Team direction. While the Handbook outlines positions in the committee andduties henceforth, the committee and I will need to schedule regular meetings to ensure engagement and positive cooperation regarding Team initiatives.
