October Schedule Notes 1. October 1, Saturday, Killarney pool is cancelled due to Agatha attending the Coaches Conference. Age swimmers have practice at 5:45-8:00 am at Templeton pool with Junior. 2. October 10, Monday, Thanksgiving Day. No practice for all groups. 3. MIni-meet # 2 will be hosted on October 14, Friday at the original practice time and location. By Anchie Xu On September 17, Gators made big splashes at Renfrew pool. We have over 100 swimmers from Elites, pre-competitive and Development groups participated in the first mini-meet. It was the first try at racing for lots of new swimmers. Although the season had just started two weeks, we made many personal best times and had two swimmers qualified for the LMR standard in this meet. Good job, Gators! Gators has a long history of senior swimmers volunteering for our summer clinic to help the young swimmers. It is a great way to give back to our community. This season, we are introducing a new Junior Leader volunteer coaching program to our members. The program will be running throughout the whole season. All groups have no practice. 3. October 1, Saturday, Killarney pool is cancelled due to Agatha attending the Coaches Conference. By Agatha Leung On July 23rd and 24th, our Summer Camp swimmers attended the Hollyburn Summer Swim Meet. After two long afternoon preliminary and final sessions, our swimmers brought home 130 new best times out of the 213 events swam. Of these events, we also have many new divisional and provincial events qualified, as well as one Westerns qualifier.
