By Coach Kaylee, On Sunday, June 8, 2025, we had 24 of our development swimmers from Gold, Silver, Alligator and Crocodile attend the Wayland Development Meet, hosted by Wayland Swim Club. We achieved 5 new LMR qualifying times and had a lot of our swimmers try out the more difficult events like the 200 IM, 100 IM, and 100 freestyle for the very first time. By Coach Daniel, Pacific Seas Wolf swim team hosted their annual June Jamboree meet last weekend (June 7-8, 2025). This meet was a great preparation for our competitive groups before summer divisional and provincial meets. Saturday was divided into two sessions and our swimmers preformed up to level from the first event. During Session 1, through 4 events, the team was able to get 7 new divisional standards. Hyack invitational was a three-day swim meet, that included prelims and finals sessions. By Coach Karman, On Sunday. May. 18, 2025, 21 swimmers from Gold, Silver, Alligator, and Crocodile attended the WVOS Development Meet at West Vancouver Aquatic Centre. The swimmers strongly swam 200 IM with a new LMR qualifier, 100 IM, and a variety of 50s. The swimmers also swam a 200 Freestyle relay, this was a fun experience for all 4 groups to split into teams and compete with each other. By Coach Hope, On Saturday, May 10, Gators attended the VPSC Chena LMR. As the end of the season nears, motivation levels were seen at a peak. The meet consisted of shorter distances, allowing great opportunities for swimmers to demonstrate their sprinting abilities. The swimmers showed excellent performance during the meet, with several swimmers attending morning practice in addition to the meet on the same day. Overall, everyone is stepping up in their races, with noticeable improvements in competitive spirit and strategy. Go Gators!
We’re excited to announce our summer programming for 2025. Competitive groups- we will be offering a one-month summer camp from July 2 to August 3, with a competition in Victoria scheduled for July 26&27. This camp will provide extended training and help the swimmers stay active over the summer break. Development groups- we will be running our traditional two-week summer clinic during July and August. West Coast Open, hosted by Richmond Rapids, was the first opportunity for some swimmers to test themselves in a long course pool (50 mts). This meet provided many swimmers the opportunity of what a racing environment feels like, competing against many other swimmers from different clubs. Swimmers stepped out of their comfort zone to swim more challenging events like 200IM, 100IM, and 50fly.
