I am interested in joining the team, how do I get started?

  • Your swimmer must first know all 4 strokes to be on the swim team. If they are not quite ready, we offer swim lessons to be able to get them as prepared as they can be. A tryout is not required if coming straight from swim lessons.
  • If your swimmer knows all 4 strokes, please contact us for a tryout. We will have you tryout with the best placed group. You will have 3 days to tryout our team before you commit.

What are the fees?

  • Please see the Swim Team Tab to see the price of the group your swimmer is placed in.
  • There is also a mandatory fee of $82.50 towards USA Swimming that needs to be completed and is good till December of that year.
    • There is a pro-rated fee for swimmers who join later
  • Swim meets are extra but often have a set fee then a pay by event.
    • Please note that swim meet fees are non-refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please make sure that you are able to make the meet before you are charged. 
  • Team fees will be done through Wellyx. Registration for Wellyx is done at the front desk. 

Can I join the gym while my swimmer is at practice?

My swimmer passed their tryout, now what?

  • Please register your swimmer on this website.
  • USA Swimming will be conducted separately as a birth certificate is needed to verify your swimmer.
  • Head to the front desk to pay for fees.

Do I need to pay for parking?

  • Unfortunately it is a SWC rule. There is no fee for waiting in your car for your swimmer after practice. You may pay for a parking pass at the front desk as well. 
  • SOL is not responsible for tickets that are issued for non-registered cars.

Does my swimmer need to compete in meets if they join?

  • No but it is strongly encouraged. We will walk you through the meet process. While doing something new is always scary, participating in meets can help show your swimmer what they need to work on in practice. 

Do you need to volunteer?

  • We do require parent volunteering during meets to help time and whatever jobs are needed. We are able to sign off on volunteer hours for high school students if they are needed. Sign-ups sheets will be sent out before the meet. 
  • With that being said, participation is usually just an hour at a time.
