2019 Swimposium

Sol Swim Team

On October 19th six swimmers, one swimmer leader (helping with the event), four coaches, four parents, and one team official attending the Swimposium held in Coronado.  Swimmers had both in and out of water training session, where they learning and practicing new drills to improve technique and had a classroom session that touched on nutrition.  Swimmers also got to meet 2016 Olympian Maya Dirado.  Coaches spent the day talking about building at team, diversity in youth swimming, training and wellness.  Parents learned the ins and outs of being a Gold Medal Parent, and how best to fuel their swimmers.  Our team official was part of discussion on strokes and turns, and learned about the 2016 Olympic official experience from Olympic official Cecil Gordon.

This was a great experience for Sol Swim team and we would like to thank all who gave up their Saturday to be a part of this event.
