SOL Swimming Fast at CAST B/C Meet

2023 San Diego CAST All Ages Meet Championships

Congrats to our swimmers who competed April 15th and 16th at Granite Hills High School once again. This was a meet for swimmers with B/C times and a great chance for our newer swimmers to participate and learn how to compete. We had Bronze, Silver, and Gold at the meet representing SOL!

  • Ava Chase (11) got some of her best times in the 50 free (34.48) dropping 7 seconds, 50 back (42.89) and 100 breast (1:44.35) dropping almost 20 seconds!
  • Her brother, Henry Chase (13), also got his best times in the 50 free (37.08) dropping 1 sec, 50 fly (42.95) dropping 3 seconds, and 100 IM (1:38.43)
  • Lauren Diehl (12) competed in the 100 free (1:20.71) dropping a whopping 12 seconds and 50 breast (48.28) with a second drop getting some best times
  • Reuben Jimenez (11) competed in the 50 free (40.03) and the 50 back (49.80)
  • Aaron Jochimsen (13) took on the 500 free (5:34.65) dropping 52 seconds as well as a full program including the 100 back (1:06.63) dropping 3 seconds, 50 breast (37.43) dropping 1 sec, 100 breast (1:20.30), 200 breast (2:48.28), and 50 fly (29.98) dropping 2 seconds
  • Aliana Sachs (12) swam the 200 free (2:24.61) dropping 11 seconds!, 50 breast (41.93) dropping 1.5 seconds, 100 breast (1:33.35), 50 fly (34.16), and the Michael Phelps event 200 fly (2:45.19) dropping 13 seconds off her previous time!
  • Carter Spotser (11) sprinted the 50 free (43.62) dropping 6 seconds and the 100 breast (2:13.06)
  • Jenna Valle (13) swam the 100 free (1:03.29) dropping 2 seconds, 200 free (2:17.07) dropping 8 seconds, 100 back (1:12.32)
  • Daniel Vera (10) took on the 50 free (47.22), 50 back (58.26), and the 100 breast (2:33.06)
  • Millan Vuong (9) took on the sprinting events with the 50 free (49.17), 50 back (49.27) dropping 10 seconds, 50 fly (59.77) dropping 4 seconds
  • Peyton Watkins (12) took on the middle distances of 200 free (2:27.28) and the 200 IM (2:53.86) getting brand new times
  • Lucy Wiseman (9) swam the 50 free (57.92) dropping 3 seconds and the 50 fly (1:09.10) dropping 2 seconds
  • Avery Witherspoon (10) rounded off our swimmers by swimming the 50 free (41.11), 100 breast (1:52.01) dropping 8 seconds, and the 100 IM (1:58.89) dropping 1 second
