Small but Mighty at A/BB LCM
2023 San Diego Imperial A/BB Long Course Meet
Congrats to our swimmers who competed April 21st-23rd in Poway. This was once again a qualifying meet for our swimmers which is such a great accomplishment. Besides being a qualifying meet, it was also a Long Course Meters meet where our swimmers swam 50 meters instead of 25 yards. What makes meters harder besides just being longer, is the fact there are less walls to push off of! Swimmers were able to qualify with a short course time which can be converted from yards to meters. We had a small but mighty team present!
- Aaron Jochimsen (13) had a full program including the 50 free (28.76) dropping 1 second, 100 free (1:03.92), 200 free (2:22.25) dropping 2 seconds, 100 back (1:17.07) dropping almost a full second, 200 IM (2:44.29) dropping 3 seconds
- Aliana Sachs (12) swam the 50 free (34.69), 100 free (1:15.99) dropping 2 seconds, 400 free (5:40.38) dropping 1 second, and the 100 fly (1:24.94) dropping 3 seconds
- Jecelia Sachs (11) swam the 200 free (2:47.31), 50 breast (46.95) dropping 3 seconds, 100 breast (1:38.35), and the 50 fly (40.74)
- Peyton Watkins (12) raced the 100 free (1:12.63) and the 50 back (41.45)
- Maliyah Wemiel (8) kicking butt swimming the 50 free (41.96) dropping 10 seconds, 50 back (50.29) dropping 2 seconds, and 50 breast (57.44) dropping 1 second
Great job to all of our swimmers who competed! Keep on swimming fast!
