Members of the Chico AquaJets Swim Team understand and will comply with the following guidelines as set forth by the Chico Area Swim Association and USA Swimming. These guidelines will be followed whenever representing the team at practice, meets or social functions.
- Respect and Sportsmanship
Show respect and sportsmanship toward coaches, teammates, officials, competitors, and hosts. Listen to instructions, stay focused during practice, and represent the team with pride through positive behavior. - Safe and Responsible Participation
Avoid any behavior that could disrupt practice, detract from the team’s image, or compromise safety. Follow instructions, practice responsibly, and refrain from any illegal or inappropriate actions. - Commitment to Team Success
Give your best effort in every practice and competition. Encourage and support teammates, and ensure your actions promote a productive and positive environment where everyone can participate and improve.
Any additional guidelines for the team will be established as needed by the coaching staff and the Board of Directors.
Failure to comply with the Honor Code as set forth in this document may result in disciplinary action. Such discipline may include, but not be limited to:
- A verbal warning
- Sitting out portions of Team practice
- Dismissal from Team practice
- Conference with the parents
- Suspension from the Team for a set period of time
- Dismissal from the Team (upon Board approval)
