Congrats to our swimmers that represented us at Summer Sanders, and those that swim last weekend in Redding.

The next several weeks of practices will be intense working at race speeds and pacing as we prepare for important meets and NVALs. To have success you must make practice for seniors’ double workouts. Your success will be based on how much you put into your training. 

We have two swim meets this weekend.

RAD June Meet – Please be at Redding Aquatic Center no later than 4:45 PM on Friday, and no later than 7:15 AM on Saturday and Sunday. (Check in with Coach Santos)

Warmups: Friday 5:00 PM Meet Begins: FRIDAY 6:00 PM

Warmups: Saturday & Sunday 7:30 AM Meet Begins: Saturday & Sunday 9:00 AM

Durham Invitational ( SCY) – Please be at Durham Pool no later than 7:45 am

(Check in with Coach Jonathan and Coach Carlos)

Warmups: Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM Meet Begins: Saturday & Sunday 9:00 AM

SENIOR/PRESENIOR GROUPS ONLY - A.M. Practices at PV Pool M-TH (no Friday)

Seniors: 5:30am - 7:30am - PV Pool – We are not having much demand for this time frame; we are planning on cancelling this session.

Seniors: 7:00am - 9:00am - PV Pool –pre-seniors can show up early, the yardage for pre-seniors will be adjusted accordingly

PreSeniors: 7:30am-9:00am - PV Pool

 

CAJ Team Activities

Kids Movie at Cinemark Theater and Ice cream after. (Date and movie to be determined) I would like the parents to give suggestions. Here are the 3 kid movies this summer and the dates that they open Minions. The Rise of Gru, 7/1. Paws of Fury. The Legend of Hank 7/15 or DC. League of Super-Pets. 

Bowling competition. The coaches are challenging the team, parents are welcome to a bowling competition. (More information coming soon)

IMPORTANT Reminders

Due to System Glitch in Team Unify software, the annual registration fee was not charged to your accounts on June 1st. Please be on the lookout for a $ 65 charge in the upcoming months.

USA Swimming Registration Renewal - If you haven't yet renewed your swimmer’s USA Swimming Registration for 2022, please do so as soon as possible! You can access the form through this link.  

NEW AQUAJETS: 

Please Familiarize yourself with our  Team Handbook located on the CAJ website under Join the Team. 

We ask that parents avoid being on deck during practice as it can be distracting to the coaches and the swimmers. 

NEW SWIMMERS: SIGN  CAJ WAIVER  AND HAND IT TO YOUR COACH   

SWIMMER ACCOUNT REMINDER:  All swimmer fees are due on the 1st day of each month and are considered late if not received by the 10th. A $10 late fee will be assessed for late payments. Notice of intent to discontinue swimming must be provided to the Chico AquaJets in writing by the 15th of the month before the date of inactivity to cancel monthly fees. Written notice should be provided through the "Contact Us'' button on the CAJ website. Verbal notice to coaches is not sufficient. Any written notice occurring after the 15th of the month before deciding to discontinue will be charged the following month. Any hanging balances left will be billed and payment will be required before any re-registration.

  • BE ADVISED: if you discontinue your membership, the $65 registration fee will be reassessed upon re-registration.
  • CAJ WEBSITE: All members must double-check your Team Unify member account to ensure that your e-mail is correct and verified. We also need you to verify your SMS number, and make sure you use dashes. This will ensure you receive ALL of our communications.
  • REMINDER FROM IN MOTION: If families discontinue their In Motion gym membership it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify In Motion that the swimmer is remaining an Aquajet swimmer. We’d also appreciate notification to the team through the “contact us” button so that our bookkeeper and membership coordinators are aware of your IMF membership status. This will assist in smooth entry to the club as well as accurate billing information for CAJ. Thanks!
