Hello CAJ Parents,

Congrats to all our swimmers at the Orland Meet this past weekend. There were many great swims. We had many Highpoint, medals, and ribbon winners.

The dual meet with Gridley Gators was also very successful. It was promising to see a lot of new families.

We also had a blast at the movies yesterday.

The CAJ coaches are challenging the team to a bowling competition at the Bowler Chico. Great time to have fun, compete against each other, and build team spirit. Tentatively Tuesday, July 26.

Hotel ( NVALS)

We currently have a group rate arranged for the Oxford Suites. We need to call and make reservations by phone (800) 762-0133 and mention Chico Aquajets to get the group rate. The more families we have staying at the same hotel really maximizes the experience.

 

 

IMPORTANT Reminders

Save the Date!!! The 2022 Swim-A-Thon and Team Pictures are on August 6, 2022 at the PV Pool. Pictures/Swim-A-Thon start at 8:00 am.

Swim-A-Thon

Our team goal is to raise $30,000 . It is one of our primary fundraisers. The donations collected is an investment in the development of our swimmers and the future of the program. The funds go towards things like; allowing our coaches to attend clinics and swim meets, a swimmer scholarship program, facility fees, upgrades to our team equipment, including advanced learning tools for our swimmers.

Swimmers have two hours to complete up to 200 lengths of the pool (though there is no requirement that they swim 200 lengths or 2 hours).

You can use a tracking sheet to record cash and check donations (make checks out to CAJ). You will need to set up and promote your swimmers Individual Fundraising Page, log into your Team Unify Account – My Account- Event Fundraising. Credit Card payments are made through your swimmer’s page. This is a MANDATORY effort for all our age group swimmers. Swimmers are required to raise a minimum of $50, but are encouraged to raise more. Please see your swimmers fundraising page for more details.

 

Parents, please plan on counting laps for your swimmer. We will provide coffee and donuts.

Team/Individual Pictures

Please have swimmers wear CAJ apparel. Packets will be provided two weeks prior and you will have the option to order.

Due to System Glitch in Team Unify software, the annual registration fee was not charged to your accounts on June 1st. Please be on the lookout for a $ 65 charge in the upcoming months.

 

USA Swimming Registration Renewal - If you haven't yet renewed your swimmer’s USA Swimming Registration for 2022, please do so as soon as possible! You can access the form through this   link.   

NEW AQUAJETS: 

Please Familiarize yourself with our    Team Handbook located on the CAJ website under Join the Team.  

We ask that parents avoid being on deck during practice as it can be distracting to the coaches and the swimmers.  

NEW SWIMMERS: SIGN    CAJ WAIVER  AND HAND IT TO YOUR COACH    

SWIMMER ACCOUNT REMINDER:  All swimmer fees are due on the 1st day of each month and are considered late if not received by the 10th. A $10 late fee will be assessed for late payments. Notice of intent to discontinue swimming must be provided to the Chico AquaJets in writing by the 15th of the month before the date of inactivity to cancel monthly fees. Written notice should be provided through the "Contact Us'' button on the CAJ website. Verbal notice to coaches is not sufficient. Any written notice occurring after the 15th of the month before deciding to discontinue will be charged the following month. Any hanging balances left will be billed and payment will be required before any re-registration. 

  • BE ADVISED: if you discontinue your membership, the $65 registration fee will be reassessed upon re-registration. 
  • CAJ WEBSITE: All members must double-check your Team Unify member account to ensure that your e-mail is correct and verified. We also need you to verify your SMS number, and make sure you use dashes. This will ensure you receive ALL of our communications. 
  • REMINDER FROM IN MOTION: If families discontinue their In Motion gym membership it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify In Motion that the swimmer is remaining an Aquajet swimmer. We’d also appreciate notification to the team through the “contact us” button so that our bookkeeper and membership coordinators are aware of your IMF membership status. This will assist in smooth entry to the club as well as accurate billing information for CAJ. Thanks!
