Good afternoon Aquajets,

Spooktacular was last weekend, and our Aquajets had a very solid meet. I saw a lot of good races, and was impressed with the intention that I saw our swimmers race with. It has been a strong start to our Fall season. Keep it up Aquajets!

COACH’S CORNER

This Saturday I will be having a training plan for the Senior group before the start of Saturday practice. The meeting will take place at 9:30am. We will discuss what the next few months of training will look like, and the potential for extra workouts. After the meeting we will have a regular Saturday practice 10:00am-12:00pm.

On Wednesday October 15 Chico High and Pleasant Valley High have their annual Fish Bowl swim meet. We will not be holding practices on this day, instead the plan for the afternoon is to go over to the PV Pool (2320 North Ave) and cheer at the Fish Bowl. This is a fun event to support our high school swimmers and to show our younger swimmers what a high school meet is like.

Next Thursday (10/16) we will not have any practices. In Motion’s lap pool will be closed on Wed 10/15 and Thu 10/16 for regular maintenance. Regular practices will resume on Friday 10/17.

Our next Team Dinner will be on Wednesday Oct 29, 6:00pm at Burger Hut (2451 Forest Ave). Come spend the evening with your teammates and enjoy some good food. I will make a few announcements and hand out group awards. There will be no Senior or Pre-Senior practice this day to accommodate for the dinner.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • Make sure your swimmer is USA Swimming registered (the link can be found in the “USA Swim Registration” section of the Old Business/Policies and Procedures doc)
  • Make sure your swimmer brings a water bottle to every practice
