COACH’S CORNER
Tickets for our Love at First Splash fundraiser are available! Ticket prices are up to $60. We need everyone’s help in selling tickets. Please share the link and promote our fundraiser: https://givebutter.com/c/loveCAJ
All Senior and Pre-Senior swimmers are expected to volunteer at our Love at First Splash Fundraiser. We will be giving them shirts to wear at the fundraiser as a type of uniform. Please email me with your swimmer’s shirt size by the end of tomorrow (Tues 1/13).
On Monday 1/19 practices will be cancelled in observance with Martin Luther King Jr Day. Take the time off to spend time with family and remember why we have the time off.
With the start of a new year it is time to renew your USA Swimming registration. Every swimmer needs to be registered with USA Swimming in order to be in the water. I am giving until the end of next week to get your swimmer(s) registered with USA Swimming. If a swimmer’s USAS registration is not current by Mon 1/26, then they will not be allowed to practice until their registration is updated. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
Sierra Nevada Swimming has changed their online meet entry website. The new website is called Fast Swims (here is the link: Fast Swims). Please take the time to set up an account on Fast Swims, so you are ready to go when it is time to sign up for your next meet.
Since there has been enough interest, I have added Sierra Nevada Swimming’s Senior Short Course Championship to our schedule. This meet is a time qualifier meet and is only open to swimmers that are 13 years old or older. If your swimmer qualifies for this meet, it would be a good idea to sign up. Registration is currently open and closes on Monday 1/26 at 6:00pm. Fast Swims Link
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
● Make sure your swimmer is USA Swimming registered (the link can be found in the “USA Swim Registration” section of the Old Business/Policies and Procedures doc)
● Make sure your swimmer brings a water bottle to every practice
