Performance (PER):  (8-12 Athletes Maximum) 

12.5 Hours in the Pool / 3 Hours of Dry-Land

This is a group designed for the top athletes in the club who wish to fully dedicate themselves to the sport of competitive swimming. To enter this group, the athlete must be in high school and fully vested into enhancing their performance. The main objective will be to train hard to achieve Provincial, Eastern Canadian, Junior National and Senior National times. These swimmers will be approaching Provincial times or a higher qualifying standard and be willing to do whatever it takes to get to the next level. All athletes must have a kick board, pull buoy, fins and paddles. Athletes are expected to meet a minimum of 80% attendance and must attend the majority of morning practices. All dry-land sessions will be included in the attendance percentage. This group will attend a minimum of 9 swim meets throughout the season, all over Ontario and across Canada; possibly even internationally.

 

Monday:

     -         4:15-7pm

Tuesday:

-         5:20-7am

-         6:30-7:30pm (Dry-Land with Ascension Movement:  Strength/Power Training)

Wednesday:

-        4:15-6:30pm

 

Thursday:

-         5:20-7am

-         4:15-6pm

-          6:30-7:30pm (Dry-Land with Ascension Movement:  Strength/Power Training)

Friday:

-         4:15-6pm

Saturday:

-         6:50-9am 

-         9:10-10am (Dry-Land with Ascension Movement:  Strength/Power Training)

 

 

Entry Requirement Sets:

-     10 x 50 on :40 (Hold Under :35)

-     5 x 200 IM on 3:00 (Hold Under 2:45)

-     400 Kick under 7:30

-     Must have raced ALL events, including the 1500m
