Senior - The Senior Group is designed for swimmers who have demonstrated their ability and commitment to train and compete at a high level. The focus of this group is to achieve excellence and to constantly push the swimmer’s boundaries. Swimmers in the Senior Group will be striving for Provincial and National time standards. Swim meet attendance is required. Traveling within Ontario, Canada, and the USA may occur. The Senior Group is a transition group from our Junior Group. Swimmers must be invited to join the Senior Group. Swimmers have 7 practice options a week and are required to have a regular practice attendance of 85%. Dry land is part of your club fees and attendance is expected. Training runs from September to the end of June or the end of the qualified national event schedule.

Senior Development NEW* The Senior Development Group is designed for high school-aged swimmers 14-18 who have a strong understanding of all 4 competitive strokes, starts and turns. Previous club swimming experience is suggested, but not required. Many swimmers in this group are multi-sport athletes who have a commitment to several sports each season. Swimmers in the Senior Development Group may swim up to 3 practices each week. Swimmers in this group are encouraged to attend swim meets that they are qualified for. Training runs from September to the end of June.

Junior - The Junior Group is intended for swimmers who are committed and competitive. This group teaches skill development through enhanced training. This group focuses on the needs of Regional to Provincial level qualifiers, ages 10 – 13, and aids in their pursuit of excellence. Swim meet attendance is required. Traveling within Ontario, Canada, and the USA may occur. The Junior Group is a transition group from our Age Group program. Swimmers must be invited to join the Junior Group. Junior has 6 practices a week, swimmers are required to have regular practice attendance at 80%, including dryland training. Training runs from September to the end of June or the end of the qualified national event schedule.

Age Group - The Age Group program is intended for swimmers who are committed, want to be competitive, and have a solid understanding of all four competitive strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke & freestyle) as well as starts and turns. Swimmers in this group are 12 & under. Swimmers will continue to develop their higher-level swimming skills. They will also be introduced to proper training techniques for aerobic and anaerobic work as well as basic dry land and flexibility training. The Age Group program is a transition group from our Futures program or Age Group Dev program into our competitive programs. Swimmers must be invited to join the Age Group program. Competing at swim meets is required as well as regular practice attendance at 75%, inclusive of dryland. Swimmers in this group train 5 times a week. Training runs from September to the end of June.

Age Group DevelopmentNEW* The Age Group Development program is intended for swimmers aged 13 years and under who wish to further their technical swim skills, stay fit, and have fun! This group is ideal for swimmers who are working towards joining the Junior or Senior Development groups, or for swimmers who have entered the sport over the age of 10. The Age Group Development group focuses on teaching and enhancing all four competitive strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke & freestyle) as well as starts and turns. Swimmers in the Age Group Development program will have monthly opportunities to attend swim meets (encouraged), but it is not mandatory.  Swimmers must be assessed before being placed in this group. 3 practices per week are offered for this group.. Regular practice attendance is encouraged. Training runs from September to the end of June.

Novice - The Novice Group is intended for swimmers who have previous experience in Futures, want to be competitive, and have a good understanding of all four competitive strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke & freestyle) as well as starts and turns. Novice level swimmers are 11 & under. Swimmers in the Novice Group are committed to attending regular practices, 4 times a week as well as participating in swim meets. The Novice Group is a transition group from our Futures program into our more competitive programs. Swimmers must be invited to join the Novice Group.  Attendance Requirement is 75%. 

Futures - The Futures  program is our grassroots introduction to competitive swimming for younger swimmers between the ages of 5 to 10. For swimmers to be able to join the program they must be able to swim a full length of the pool (25 meters) on their own and be comfortable in deep water. In this program, we focus on teaching the four competitive strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke & freestyle) as well as starts and turns. Swimmers in this program have the opportunity to attend development-level swim meets within the Huronia Region as well as certain invitationals if the swimmer has met specific standards. Each swimmer is unique and will progress through the program at their own rate. The main objective of this group is to teach the important fundamentals of competitive swimming while having fun! 3 weekly practices are included for both the early evening and late evening groups. Attendance is encouraged but is not mandatory. Training runs from September to the end of June.
