LOSC Justin Jung and Paul Orogo have been selected to participate in the Swimming Canada Male Development Camp. This camp is taking place at the UBC Aquatic Centre from February 11-18. This is a fantastic opportunity for the boys to experience specialty training alongside other talented swimmers at the world-class facility with resources that can help to enhance their performance, knowledge and skill. Congratulations Justin and Paul for being chosen for this special opportunity.

LOSC is proud to announce that Elite Performance Group Coach Liam has been appointed to the Swimming Canada High Performance Advisory Council! This council is made up of 9 coaches of athletes that have achieved the FINA A Standard and compete at the international level. This council will help Swimming Canada to achieve its strategic objectives. Congratulations to Coach Liam for receiving this honour. Well deserved!

This past weekend was an action-packed couple of days for many training groups. Seen on our Instagram Stories and previous news article, 8 LOSC swimmers from the National Group and Coach Brian were selected to represent Swim BC’s 20 person team at the Edmonton Open (Jihoon Bae, Leila Fack, Justin Jung, Ashley Ko, Macey Larson, Paul Orogo, Danny Park & Julia Strojnowska). Congratulations to Danny Park for being the Swimmer of the Month for the National Group! He achieved this month's title by being the hardest worker. LOSC Fernando Lu has stunned with an impressive Silver Medal and Olympic Qualifying performance at the Para Panam Games in Santiago, Chile. His 25.28 for 50 Freestyle means that he has earned an eligibility to be selected for the 2024 Olympic Games! It is only Day 1 of the Para Panam Games so keep an eye out for updates on Fernando. LOSC is proud to announce that Leila Fack has signed with the University of Michigan to further her academic and athletic career! Leila is a talented sprint Freestyle and Butterflier who holds multiple provincial records in individual and relay events. She has swum her way to the podium at national-level events multiple times, establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with. We are excited to see you excel and thrive in Michigan, Leila!

LOSC Elite Performance swimmer Collyn Gagne has been selected to represent Team Canada at his 3rd World Aquatics Championships, taking place in Qatar from February 02-18th, 2024. The selection process is highly competitive but Collyn has consistently exhibited his ability to perform successfully on the international stage and has represented Team Canada exceptionally well.
