Nepean Kanata Barracudas - Ottawa’s #1 Swim Club!
In 1973 the Nepean Swim Club began teaching kids the sport and spirit of swimming. In 1990 the Nepean Swim Club and the Bayshore Barracudas amalgamated to form the Nepean Kanata Barracudas Swim Club (NKB) - a bigger and more diverse swim club committed to the same core values. Nearly half a century later, we continue to foster excellence in our swimmers both inside and outside the pool!
NKB is the largest and most successful competitive swim club in eastern Ontario with some of the best facilities in Ontario. We are constantly growing and training young swimmers in order to maintain a well-rounded, competitive swim team. We develop national level swimmers who continue their swimming careers at university, either earning swimming scholarships in the US or swimming in the Canadian university programs. We lead swimmers on the world stage as they compete at famed international competitions and make the dream of being an Olympian become a reality.
