Julie Brousseau has qualified for the 2024 Olympics!

The energy and volume were out of this world on the first two nights of the 2024 Bell Canadian Olympic Trials. Night one found Julie fanning the fire of excitement and bringing everyone to their feet as she swam to silver in the 400 FR.  Always one to rise to the occasion, she returned to the pool on night two for the 200 FR ready to make Canada’s Olympic team. Julie battled a field of nine of Canada’s toughest competitors - some of whom are reigning Olympians - for the four spots on the Canadian women’s 4x200 FR relay. When the waves settled, Julie prevailed and will proudly don the maple leaf alongside Summer Macintosh, Marie-Sophie Harvey, and Emma O’Croinin at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

The week is far from over at Olympic Trials, and these athletes are proving it’s not a show to be missed.  Watch Julie and all of our Mighty Barracudas live on cbc.com.  SwimSwam has also put together a great resource hub that links to all things 2024 Bell Canadian Olympic Trials.
