FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTS

Members are expected to support annual club costs by taking part in various fundraising activities throughout the year. Fundraising activities are announced throughout the season by a represenative of the club.

Whitehorse Glacier Bears Swim Club (WGB) encourages club members to pursue fundraising activities to support the Club and its swimmers and recognizes that fundraising involves engagement with the public and, as such, can affect WGB’s reputation. Accordingly, all fundraising activities formally associated with WGB (i.e., those that make use of the WGB name and logo) must be reviewed and approved by the WGB Board in advance. All funds raised through WGB-sanctioned activities shall be split between WGB and the organizing member’s account according to the ratio established in Fundraising Policy.

In lieu of fundraising, members may choose to pay the fundraising requirement directly to Whitehorse Glacier Bears. Please contact [email protected] to arrange a direct payment.

* Swim accounts will be charged at the end of the season (June) for outstanding balances not raised.*

If you raise over the minimum amount, credits will be applied to your swim accounts at the end of the season (June). There is the option to donate any additional funds raised back to the club, again please contact  [email protected]
