Konrad Antoniuk is one of our newest coaches at the swim club! Konrad began swimming at the young age of 8 and has been involved in competitive swimming for 18 years. He trained locally with Canyons Aquatic Club and attended Hart High School class of 2010 before continuing his swimming career in college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

He achieved great success in his early career, earning his place in many junior national and national meets, specializing in distance freestyle events. During his time in high school, Konrad became an All-American for all four years, and qualified for the 2012 US Olympic Trials in the 1500 meter freestyle prior to leaving for college, an impressive feat for any swimmer. As a collegiate D1 athlete, he competed in the Pac-12 swimming championships until 2013.

While taking a break from competitive swimming, Konrad focused his studies of electrical engineering towards developing technology to analyze swimming technique with wearable sensors. Antoniuk resumed training in 2019 with the Paseo Aquatics Club to prepare for the 2020 US Olympic Trials, primarily focusing on butterfly events and applying technology to track his progress. He has since retired again but continues to study the data and work with elite performers of the sport.

His years of training and study of stroke technique and training measurement brings valuable knowledge to our coaching team and we’re excited to share his experiences with our swimmers.
