RIO MESA LONG COURSE MEET
Congrats to all those who competed in this week's Rio Mesa Long Course Meet in Oxnard!
The team has grown tremendously, and due to the size, we are unable to list every swimmers' accomplishments. But a few highlights from the meet include:
TEIA SALVINO - Took 1st overall in the 50 Backstroke for the 5-8 Age Group.
CHRISTINA TAYLOR - Swam a Personal Best in the 100 Breaststroke and earned a SoCal JO time in the process.
STEFFEN LAND - Dropped 20 seconds in the 200 Freestyle and received a Central JO and June Invite time for the 50 Fly.
HANNAH SIEGEL - Received two June Invite and SoCal JO times.
JULIA WOLF - Swept the 50 and 100 Freestyle events, the 100 Backstroke and the 200 IM, where she dropped over 6 seconds.
There were so many other highlights and amazing swims to speak of-- SARAH TAYAG taking on several Long Course races for the first time; HANNAH RIETZEL swimming her heart out, even when her goggles came off; REBECCA RIETZEL and KACEY KILBY representing the 8-Under Division; ANDREW LAROCHELLE pushing through two races after running a track meet the same morning! The list goes on and on. Thank you all for your competitive spirit-- and building Paseo Aquatics to what it is today-- a very respected SoCal swim program.
