CA-NV SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thank you to ALL who came out and cheered on BRYANA WAAGE and JULIA WOLF at the CA-NV Sectional Championships on Saturday. What an amazing turnout and show of support!
Both girls braved an incredibly talented field in the 50 METER FREESTYLE-- including one or two Olympic hopefuls-- and represented team Paseo Aquatics proudly.
The youngest swimmer in the entire event, Julia posted her 2nd fastest 50 Meter time and stood tall against the 20-somethings that surrounded her.
Bryana more than held her own against very tough competition and finished 4th in her Heat.
Congratulations to both girls-- and Coach Chris, Coach Mikaela and Coach Heather-- for achieving the Sectional milestone.
LONG COURSE JUNIOR OLYMPICS
The LONG COURSE JUNIOR OLYMPICS begin this week (July 24-28) and we have swimmers competing at both the Riverside, CA and Fresno, CA sites.
For those JO swimmers not competing or traveling on Wednesday, July 24th, practice will be held as usual at 5:00PM.
There will be NO ELITE PRACTICE Thursday, July 25th or Friday, July 26th this week.
Any Elite swimmers not competing in JOs may choose to work out with the Advanced Group at 4:00PM on those days.
PASEO AQUATICS SUMMER SWIM MEET - AUGUST 17th and 18th
Online registration will be available this week for Paseo Aquatics' End of Summer Swim Meet AUGUST 17th and 18th. This meet is open to all swimmers ages 6-Up and includes a MASTERS DIVISION.
Team Relays will be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 17th with the INDIVIDUAL EVENTS held SUNDAY, AUGUST 18th.
Please speak to any of the Coaches if you have questions regarding your entries.
TEAM BANQUET - SATURDAY, AUGUST 24th - 5:00PM
The date for the 2012/13 Swim Team Banquet is now confirmed and will be held SATURDAY, AUGUST 24th, 5:00PM in the Paseo Clubhouse.
The banquet will include dinner, entertainment, award handouts for Most Improved, Most Inspirational, Most Outstanding and Swimmer of the Year, as well as a video slideshow encapsulating the entire 2012/13 swim season.
The banquet is open to ALL Paseo Aquatics swimmers-- whether you have competed or not-- family members and their guests.
A sign-up will be available beginning this week both online and on deck with the Coaches. Please indicate the number of people in your party.
We now have over 100 swimmers on the Paseo Aquatics team, so this event will fill up quickly and space will be limited.
A number of families have already submitted reservations, so secure your spot(s) ASAP!
