PASEO AQUATICS TIME TRIALS
THANK YOU-THANK YOU-THANK YOU to all the parents who volunteered their time-- and the swimmers who gave their very best-- in making Paseo's first-ever TIME TRIALS a tremendous success!!
The weekend saw some amazing times-- and proved a fantastic opportunity for some of our first-timers to literally and figuratively get their feet wet. All in all an amazing event.
Kudos to the LANDS, McGRATHS, RIETZELS and TOLEDOS for tackling almost all of the timing duties-- not to mention Heather Land's 4000 picture photo shoot on Saturday, all of which can be viewed on SHUTTERFLY!
Thank you CHRISTINA VELA and the entire CAFE CREW for working overtime to satisfy our rabid athletes.
And a special, special shout-out to TONY GRAGAS, who took the time to officiate and provided the official starter for our event this weekend. We are lucky to have him as a part of the Paseo family-- and on behalf of the entire Paseo team-- THANK YOU!!
1st ANNUAL PIGSKIN & PICNIC CLASSIC - SATURDAY, OCT. 12th!
The 1st Annual PIGSKIN & PICNIC football game is officially scheduled for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12th from 1PM-4PM at CHESEBROUGH PARK in Valencia (corner of McBean Pkwy and Sunset Hills Drive).
We have secured the park through the City of Santa Clarita-- and the goal is an afternoon of football fun and food. The staff will provide the footballs, flags and cones-- families will chip in with pot-luck picnic lunches.

Please register the name and number of people in your party-- as well as the FOOD or BEVERAGE you plan to bring to the pot luck.
We will divide the swimmers, family members and coaches into Black vs White teams, and the game will be open to ALL family members and their guests. But you will have to play for the team to which your swimmer is assigned.
There is NO COST for this event beyond the food you bring and willingness to participate in an afternoon of fun.
CAPS, CAPS and MORE CAPS!
The request for more PERSONALIZED and standard CAPS has been overwhelming, so we are beginning a third order of Paseo Swim Caps.
If you want to order a PERSONALIZED CAP, please email your request to me with the proper spelling of the name on the cap, along with the number of caps you wish to order. Personalized Caps come two (2) per name, so one order would include two caps.
MATT BIONDI SWIM CLINIC
The MATT BIONDI SWIM CLINIC has been confirmed for SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19th from 10:00AM-NOON.
The 40 spots have been filled. But there may be a cancellation or two due to the date change. Please register online at thepaseoclub.com while there is still time.
The event is open to anyone who wishes to attend. But only 40 swimmers are permitted to participate in the pool with Matt.
RIO MESA SWIM MEET - OCTOBER 26th & 27th
The RIO MESA SWIM MEET has been posted on the SoCal Swim website and is officially open for registration.
Coaches have been meeting with swimmers for the past week to finalize their entries. Once all of our competing swimmers have completed their entries, the team-- as a whole-- will then be entered into the meet using our new Hy-Tek entry system.
This is our first Sanctioned meet of the year-- and the swimmers are very excited to put all their hard work to the test. We are expecting a fantastic turnout.
SWIMMERS: If you have not already done so, please speak with your coaches about the events they want you to swim. Swimmers will NOT be entered unless they have consulted their swim coach first.
